Founder · Principal EngineerCubelink is a Melbourne studio led by Chao Ruan. Over a decade in senior engineering at major tech companies you'd recognise, now applied to the kind of small, sharp problems big tech is the wrong shape for. We work lean by default, with trusted collaborators we bring in when a project calls for it — so the work stays direct without limiting what we can take on.
We started Cubelink to give Australian organisations access to senior technical judgement without layers of theatre around it. You get direct conversations, written decisions, and delivery that stays grounded in the actual problem.
How We Work
Cubelink Pty Ltd (ABN 30 670 127 054) has been operating from Melbourne since 2023. We work with Australian teams across AI workflow, home automation, and senior IT consulting, and we stay pragmatic about what should be automated versus what should be left alone.
The studio voice is deliberate: we write as a studio because that is the shape of the business, even when an engagement starts directly with Chao. The standard is still the same direct relationship with the engineer doing the work.
Most engagements begin with a discovery call, followed by a scoped recommendation when the work needs structure. If we are not the right fit, we will say so early.
